Looking Ahead to a Promising Season at The Front Nine
As we prepare for the upcoming season, we wanted to personally reach out to those of you who played our course last year.
Last year was a difficult one—not just for us, but for many golf courses across Ohio. Extreme weather took a toll everywhere, and unfortunately our course was hit especially hard. We know many of you experienced greens that were not up to the standard you expect or deserve from a course you support. We understand the frustration that caused. We want you to know we heard you, and we took it seriously.
As a nine-hole course, the loss of multiple greens has an outsized impact. Unlike an eighteen-hole facility, where play can sometimes be redirected, every green here matters. That reality wasn’t lost on us—and it’s exactly why we chose to step back, reassess, and focus on long-term solutions rather than short-term patches.
When we purchased the course seven years ago, it had been abandoned and severely overgrown for almost two years, creating underlying damage that takes time and consistency to correct. While we’ve seen both good and challenging seasons since, last year became a turning point.
This offseason, we removed trees to improve sunlight and airflow, restructured our maintenance plan with a new local team, and began restoring turf health. We were encouraged to see grass recovery already underway before winter.
We also recognize that some players invested in memberships, leagues or discount cards last year and may feel the season didn’t deliver the value they expected. That perspective guided many of our decisions as we thoughtfully moved into this new season.
As a thank-you for your patience and support, we’ve decided not to raise our rates this season, and to keep the same price for our leagues, discount cards and memberships. We also plan to offer further appreciation benefits throughout the 2026 golf season.
We know that last season can’t be undone, but we’re genuinely optimistic about the season ahead. While no course is ever perfect, we believe the improvements we’ve made will be noticeable, and we’re more prepared, focused, and committed than ever to providing our local community and valued members with a course to be proud of.
Sincerely,
Brian & Tracie Eakin

Our Course is Closed for the Season.
We will see very soon!

We proudly took ownership of the golf course (formerly known as Nature Trails) in 2018 after it sat vacant for almost 2 years. We purchased the Clubhouse and Front 9 at an auction in 2018 and opened our doors in July of 2019 as The Front Nine. Every year brings on new challenges as we work hard to bring the golf course and greens back up to par. It has taken some time to do so, due to the course being closed for several years but we are dedicated to making this the best 9 holes of golf you can buy!

At The Front 9, we are always looking for new leagues. If you are interested in starting a golf league or bringing your league to The Front 9 in 2025, give us a call 419-558-6463 (NINE).
We host several Golf Leagues here at the Front 9.

We take pride in our course and expect all of our golfers to show the same respect. We aim to give our experienced and newer golfers a great environment to play golf.
It's a Good Time to Play 9!
We have several Membership options to suit your needs. Our Memberships also offer 10% off dine in meals and discounts on our event space rental. We appreciate all of our Members and welcome you to join today!
Even with just a 9 hole course we still have the ability to host small golf outings for businesses, charity fundraisers and even small family outings. Give us a call and we will see if our 9 hole course can accommodate your next golf event. Please note that since we have only 9 holes, that golf events requiring a shot gun start must have a minimum of 8 teams (32golfers). Events not requiring a shot gun start can be accommodated with scheduled tee times.
At this time, we do not offer a Pro Shop. Yet, we do offer a small variety a golf accessories that you may need such as new or used golf balls, golf tees, men's and women's golf gloves, and some personalized Front 9 Golf Merchandise.
